Born out of a pure love for food, and rooted in a pursuit of wellness and prosperity for everyone…

Priya and I were based in VA before moving to NJ. Life in VA was easy and we had a lot of time at hand to get quality food on the dinner table. In 2017, we moved to NJ and commuted for work to NYC on the NJ Transit. 90 mins of one way travel didn't leave enough time and energy to cook. Restaurant food wasnt an option. We came across individual culinary creators who used to make fresh home cooked food, but the whole space was very unorganized and fragmented. We figured a better solution must exist. And if it doesn't we will create it. Thus was born WannaEat !

Meet The Founders

Priya Prakash

Co-Founder & CEO

Priya is the CEO of WannaEat. She a seasoned Product Management Leader, having worked in the Banking Industry for nearly two decades - working for big banks like Capital One, Wells Fargo and Wachovia. She has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from University of Rajasthan and Masters in Business Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

Shaleen Prakash

Co-Founder & COO

Shaleen is the COO of WannaEat and is responsible for all operations and logistics. He is a seasoned Banking executive, having worked in leadership roles in Big Banks -RBC, SVB and Capital One. He was most recently the Head of Product Management for Royal Bank of Canada's US Cash Management Business. Shaleen is an alumnus of the prestigious IIT and IIM.

Our Journey So Far

WannaEat was launched in Millburn-Short Hills, New Jersey in May 2023. Two years in, we have now expanded to 10 towns and counting. #BestIsYetToCome
